Team History
Bad Larry suffered a mild case of gout after finishing 11th last year. Our extremities were swollen and discolored; it hurt so bad we could barely walk. Larry was unaware that gout was carried by the Sarasota winds.
We spent the winter regrouping in the icy Colorado mountains with acupuncture, dog sledding, igloo construction, Clorox hot tubbing and a little procreation to boot. We shed some dead weight and added some live weight. We read US Weekly for the latest trends and fads, including the proliferation of “Sports” in the greater Denver area.
Refreshed and fully vaccinated, Larry emerged from its winter re-Cooper-ation, quit its day job and began traveling the world looking for adventures like Ricky Williams with a slightly smaller bankroll (though funds are up something-eight percent now that our original website is back up). We visited exotic locales like Colorado Springs, Seattle, Breckenridge, Boulder, Santa Cruz and the Mecca of our spiritual regeneration, the EconoLodge in San Bernardino. Picture Andy Dufresne’s crawl to freedom in Shawshank and you’ll have a good idea of our Regionals experience, both on the field and off. A Judy Bloom-like awakening had occurred. |
