Team History
The Gees officially began in 1984 with the merger of the North Miami ultimate team and their cross town southern rivals from Riviera.  During its 20 year history, the team competed in numerous national and world championship tournaments.  Last year, the team entered the masters division and won the national title.  The Refugees were honored to represent the United States and the UPA at the World Championship this summer in Turku, Finland winning the gold medal after defeating Canada in the finals.

The Refugees would like to thank all of those players who have played with and against them throughout the years.  We would also especially like to thank one of our own: our captain, coach and soul of the team, Kurt Dahlenburg.

The Miami Refugees will be hanging them up at the end of this season.  It was great.  Thank you!
