Team History
Ring of Fire has had a storied history in high level ultimate reaching back to its first year in 1989. Ring has qualified for Nationals 12 of the past 13 years. After losing several of last year’s stars, Ring has benefited from the return of Brian Lang and added offensive firepower with Jon Boling. We have also added to our defensive talent with college standouts Josh Berkowitz and Jesse Overby. This year we won the Furniture City Classic, and attended Seattle’s ECC, and the Chicago Heavyweight Championships. With a re-tooled offense, and a more experienced defensive lineup, Ring is ready to bring its best game to the tournament. Ring of Fire is proud to represent North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic region, and is looking forward to this year’s Championships. If you are interested in seeing some exciting and creative play, make sure to get a look at Ring of Fire. It should be easy to spot the “Ring Nation”, doing what we do, in our traditional uniforms custom made by VC Ultimate.
