Team History
Chosen from among all others by the immortal elders -- Solomon, Hercules, Athena, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury -- Billy Batson and his mentor travel the highways and byways of the land on a never-ending mission: to right wrongs, develop understanding, and to seek justice for all. In time of dire need, young Billy has been granted the power by the immortals to summon awesome forces at the utterance of a single word -- SHAZAM!! -- a word which transforms him in a flash into the mightiest of mortal beings: Captain Marvel!
Worshiping their immortal idols -- Spirit, Hustle, Athleticism, Zsa Zsa,
AC/DC, and Mix-a-lot -- a group of Seattle women and men made a startling discovery in the dark winter of 2002. At the utterance of a single word -- SHAZAM!! -- the young team, led by kindly mentor Dr. Finn and the mysterious Miss Erickson, now summons awesome powers: to throw lightning bolts into the wind, run faster than a speeding bullet, and unleash death-defying D's from Puget Sound to Sarasota Bay.
Unassuming B-girls and B-boys by day, the young superheroes are in their third year of gonging evil wherever it appears. It's hard work. We've seen it on TV.
