We are not the most intense group, but we still have a blast. We dont know exactly what time we play, but just contact us if you would like information. We would love to have more kids join us!

This game is open to players of all skill levels. It is friendly-competitive. We don't employ stall counts and rarely run set offenses or defenses. There is a listserv that we use for contact and to discuss alternate field locations when the field is in use for soccer practices or games. It is longfellow-disk@yahoogroups.com

We play at lower city park, marching band practice field on Park avenue.
I believe we practive the true spirit of ultimate for the pure joy
of the game. That is, we don't keep score and switch teams if the
skills are lopsided. The out of bounds are flexible, and the
endzones go to infinite. We are a somewhat older crowd and play
for the simple exhuberence of catching a disc in the end zone.
And as an added bonus I bring all the reverse osmosis water you can
drink, at the end of the game there is coke in returnable glass bottles.
Sometimes a fabulous international theme potluck. WOW!

Directions: Take highway 1 to 4th st and turn west. About 7 blocks down the road will curve to the right and the field is on the left side of the curve.
It would be good to email ahead of time to make sure there's a game. During the fall and spring we always play, but there is not a game every day through the winter. Mostly college students at varying skill levels, but anyone is welcome. When the weather's nice we usually have about 25-30 kids out, so two games.

Albany Ave. SE and Iowa State Highway 10 in Orange City.
Only caution: Beware of cherry pickers! Personally I hate
cherry pickers, but unfortunately due to the extremely
informal approach to our games, we attract some players who
aren't very fit and and feel the need to hang out in the
end zone and wait for their team to work their way down the
field. It takes away a lot of the fun of the game, but it's
still a game, and if we attract some serious players maybe
their influence can remedy our situation. See ya there!
